If a person dreams that he built any of these things or possessed itor gained control of it, if he is qu alified to become a ruler then he willbecome a ruler; if he is qualified to be a governor then he will appointedas a governor; if he is single he will get married; if he is married hewill blessed with a son or he may get a male or female slave or hisliveli hood will improve. If he is a worshipper, he will be distractedby worldly matters and will give up his worship; if he is poor he willbecome independent of means and may receive some benefit from oneof his parents or relatives or property. The reason why th ey said thatthis is indicative of a king or ruler is that people come to them (kings)because they have needs and because of the wealth that they have, andthe same is true of scholars and worshippers, because the people cometo them. The reason why inns repr esent marriage is that they offer a restand tranquility to the traveller. The reason why the press is mentioned is because it contains pipesfrom which the oil comes out, and because stone is put on stone (all of which refers to marriage). The reason why the bathhouse is mentionedis because of what occurs therein of pleasure, bathing and sweating. The reason why the shop is mentioned is because a man puts someonewhom he loves and trusts in it and he puts his belongings there. Thereason why the mill is mention ed is because it contains a pair ofstones, one of which is put on top of the other. The reason why theslaughterhouse is mentioned is because the woman takes off her clotheswhen her husband wants to be intimate with her. And the reason whythey said it may s ignify a child or a male or female slave or increasedlivelihood and benefit is clear. If a person dreams that he takes his grain to a mill and has it ground,or he takes his dough to the oven and has it baked, or he takes hisleather to the tanner and has it tanned, or he takes his animal to theslaughterhouse and has it slaughtered, or he takes his meat to the cookand has it cooked or grilled, or he takes his olives to the press andhas them pressed, or he takes his animal to the veterinarian and has ittreated, or he takes his cloth to the tailor and has it sewn, and so on if heis seeking something from a prominent person he will get his needs met,and if he wants to marry a woman he will marry her, and he will becomeindependent of means after being poor, or he will become secure afterfear, or he will recover after being sick or he will make profit if he is amerchant. But if he goes to those places and finds in them a bad smell,or the fire or smoke is bothersome, or he finds dead animals or harmfulanimals there, then they are places of wrongdoing and corruption, andplaces of scholars who introduce innovations, and they are indicative oftrade with
