These are the noblest of metals and are indicative of the noblest ofpeople. The dream interpreters said: Gold in a dream is not a good sign,because the word dhahab (gold) is too close to the word Dhahaba (go),and because it is yellow, and yellow signifies grief. The same applies tosilver, as some of them said, because the word Fiddah (silver) is relatedto the word Infidaad (dispersal), which means parting. And some ofthem said that it signifies collected wealth and the interp retation dependson the form in which it appears and whether it is ingots, worked metalor coins.
